"People grow up with stories about their past; (some of) our own memories through the years evolve into intense experiences with odour and colour, while others become vague and disappear.
Stories told to us by family and our surrounding people about our origin, our ancestors, their (heroic, funny, scary, clever…) actions, personal characteristics, motives, …
Places, people, and periods of time become legendary, mystified. During the workshop I would like to bring up some of those PRIVATE MYTHES that each one of us carries along, to examine the relations one has towards the story and process them into a piece of jewellery. I would ask each participant to think of one of their own MYTHES;
a story that either was told to them, or not told to them, and that’s why mystified… or of their own memory.
I would ask the participants to bring along object(s) that are connected with THEIR MYTH. "
